Stanford Financial Group launched Stanford Institutional Consulting, targeting foundations, endowments, associations and retirement plans with assets from $10 million to more than $1 billion, according to a news release Wednesday.
Several administrators and research analysts from Citi-Smith Barney Institutional Consulting will lead the new Stanford business.
Christopher C. Aitken, former managing director at Citi-Smith Barney, will be executive managing director and senior investment consultant; Stephen L. Thacker, former senior institutional consultant, will be managing director and senior investment consultant; and Dawn Pfaff, former manager and research analyst, will be vice president and senior analyst.
Timothy J. Truss and Danyelle Berger were named research analysts; they served in the same roles for Citi-Smith Barney. Citi-Smith Barney portfolio administrators Shari Serafin will be vice president, operations manager; Teri Houp will be vice president, senior portfolio administrator; and Karen Doggett will be senior portfolio administrator.
A spokesman for Citi-Smith Barney could not be reached for comment by press time.
