Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, Montreal, extended until Jan. 5 the medical leave of absence for Richard Guay, president and CEO, confirmed spokesman Maxime Chagnon.
Mr. Guay, who has been on leave since Nov. 12, was originally expected to return to work Dec. 10. Mr. Chagnon did not disclose details about Mr. Guays condition, but Chairman Pierre Brunet said in November that Mr. Guay had suffered from exhaustion.
Fernand Perreault, executive vice president of real estate at the C$155.4 billion (US$120.7 billion Caisse, is handling Mr. Guays duties during his absence.
