Graham Nicol was named head of credit ex-U.S. at AXA Investment Managers, a new position, spokeswoman Niasha Don Carolis said.
Based in London, Mr. Nicol will report to Theo Zemek, global head of fixed income.
The post was created as part of a restructuring of the firm’s fixed-income division, which was split into one unit focusing on interest rate and asset allocation and another targeting credit, according to a company statement.
Mr. Nicol was head of international credit strategy at JPMorgan Asset Management, where he had worked since April 2005. Information on a replacement was not available at press time.
