Dennis M. Schaney and Andrew Findling were named portfolio managers for the Morgan Stanley High Yield Fund, replacing manager Steve Kreider, who remains a portfolio manager in Morgan Stanleys fixed-income division.
Mr. Schaney, managing director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and Mr. Findling, executive director, will oversee the day-to-day management of the funds portfolio. Mr. Schaney will be the funds lead manager as well as manager of the MS Global Opportunity Bond Fund.
Messrs. Schaney and Findling worked together at BlackRock several years ago; Mr. Schaney was head of leveraged finance at BlackRock, while Mr. Findling was a high-yield portfolio manager there.
Most recently, Mr. Schaney was global head of fixed income at Credit Suisse until April 2007; he joined Morgan Stanley last September. Mr. Findling was Raven Asset Managements head trader until September. A spokeswoman at Raven said a replacement for Mr. Findling has not been found yet.
