Essex County Council Pension Fund, Chelmsford, England, issued an RFI for at least one active global equity manager to run between £100 million ($154 million) and £300 million, confirmed Kevin McDonald, assistant group investment manager.
Mr. McDonald declined to say how the £3 billion plan would fund the mandate or to name the plan’s current global equity managers. According to a financial statement for the year ended March 31, AllianceBernstein, Baillie Gifford and Marathon Asset Management were listed as global equity managers. Information on how much each managed in global stocks for the fund was not available.
