Kenneth Winston was named chief risk officer at Western Asset Management, a new position, said spokeswoman Mary Athridge.
Mr. Winston will oversee WAMCOs global risk management effort, including analytics/risk management and enterprise risk management, and will chair the market/credit risk committee. He will report to Brett Canon, director of risk management and operations.
Mr. Winston was global risk officer/head of the global risk and analysis group with Morgan Stanley Investment Management; he left the firm earlier this year. He was replaced by Andy Mack, who had been a managing director in prime brokerage, said MSIM spokeswoman Erica Platt.
