Brian Johnson was named investment officer, real assets, at the $47.3 billion University of California Board of Regents, Oakland, according to sources close to the fund. It is a new position.
Mr. Johnson was investment officer, real assets, for the $8.4 billion San Diego County (Calif.) Employees Retirement Association, which is searching for a replacement, said spokeswoman Johanna J. Shick.
