Bear Stearns Asset Managements entire international equity team will join Mesirow Finance on Nov. 1, Mesirow spokeswoman Katie Schimmel confirmed.
The teams leader, Leila Heckman, will become senior managing director and head of international equity. She was senior managing director at BSAM, where she managed global and international strategies.
Also joining Mesirow will be team members John Mullin as senior managing director and Vijay Kumar Chopra as managing director, as well as Joon-Ho Lee, Timothy Ramsey, Vinod Dasaratha and Natalia Yazhova. Mr. Lee will be senior vice president, while Messrs. Ramsey and Dasaratha will be vice presidents and Ms. Yazhova will be an analyst.
The BSAM international equity team was allowed to leave as part an agreement with JPMorgan Chase & Co., which acquired BSAM parent Bears Stearns Cos. Inc. in March, said Jacqueline Meere, JPMorgan spokeswoman.
Mesirow Financial had $32 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
