Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System, Oklahoma City, issued an RFP seeking at least one manager to run assets in several passive strategies. Tom Spencer, OPERS executive director, said the new managers are sought for the $6 billion system as well as the $216 million Oklahoma Uniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges, which OPERS oversees.
Sizes of the portfolios have not been determined.
OPERS is searching for managers for passive Russell 3000 index, MSCI ACWI ex-U.S., MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. Growth and Lehman Aggregate index. Managers for the judges system will run passive Russell 3000 index, Russell 2000 index, MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. and Lehman Aggregate index.
All index managers are not the same, and we want to see whats out there in the market, Mr. Spencer said.
The RFP is available at http://www.opers.ok.gov/rfp. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. CDT Oct. 10. A decision is expected Dec. 12.
