Huey Richardson was named vice president of U.S. institutional sales at Permal Group, confirmed spokesman Alastair Crabbe. It is a new position.
Mr. Richardson will be based in New York and report to Joshua Levine, senior vice president and head of Permal’s U.S. institutional sales team.
He was vice president, Delta One sales and trading, at Merrill Lynch. A Merrill Lynch spokesman did not return a phone call and e-mail by press time.
He also was a linebacker for three National Football League teams — the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Redskins and New York Jets — in 1991 and 1992, according to NFL.com.
