Daniel Roff was named head of risk and quantitative solutions (fixed income) at Hermes, confirmed spokeswoman Harriet Forrest. The position is new.
He will strengthen quantitative and risk-based tools for Hermes fixed-income and global tactical asset allocation strategies.
Mr. Roff was head of investment risk management at Legal & General Investment Management, which is in the advanced stages of a replacement search, according to spokesman Steve Leach.
Hermes, which is owned by the BT Pension Scheme, London, had £35.5 billion ($65.6 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
