Aurora (Colo.) General Employees’ Retirement Plan hired Cadence Capital Management to run $12 million in active domestic small-cap growth equities, said Thomas Connell, administrator for the $295 million plan.
Funding comes from terminating Transamerica, which ran the portfolio in a similar strategy.
Eagle Asset Management and Perimeter Capital Management were the other finalists. Callan Associates assisted.
