The SEC has laid out an ambitious agenda to improve investor protection and financial markets regulation, and a full complement of commissioners will help us achieve those important objectives, Christopher Cox, SEC chairman, said in a statement released after the vote.
Mr. Paredes is a law professor at Washington University School of Law, St. Louis; Mr. Aguilar is a partner at the law firm of McKenna, Long & Aldridge; and Ms. Walter is senior executive vice president for regulatory policy and programs at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority
