Thomas A. Renyi said today he will retire as executive chairman and director at Bank of New York Mellon Corp. on July 31, according to a news release. CEO Robert P. Kelly will replace him as chairman and remain chief executive. Mr. Renyi was chairman and CEO of Bank of New York before its merger with Mellon Financial in July 2007, and spent nearly four decades at the firm or its predecessor. I have spent my entire career at the Bank of New York Mellon and its predecessor institution and am enormously proud of our success through the years, Mr. Renyi said in the release.
