Nick Mencher was promoted to managing director and head of consultant relations at TIAA-CREF Asset Management, confirmed spokesman Chad Peterson. Mr. Mencher will be responsible for developing and executing strategies for TIAA-CREFs third-party institutional consultant efforts, as well as for overseeing the RFP unit. He will report to Jeffrey Margolis, senior managing director of asset management business development. Mr. Mencher replaced Ralph Yearwood who has left the firm. No further details were available about Mr. Yearwood.
Mr. Mencher previously was responsible for new product development and product management for the institutional, high-net-worth and foreign investor market segments at TIAA-CREF. Mr. Peterson said a successor for Mr. Mencher has not been named, and further information was not available by press time.
