RiskMetrics Group on June 23 will start Governance Exchange, an online platform exclusively for corporate board directors, corporate executives and institutional investors to foster interaction on corporate governance issues, according to a statement from the firm.
Participants can choose to communicate anonymously, although they will be identified as a member of one of the three groups, said Stephen Deane, leader of the Governance Exchange, in an interview. Anonymity can be scaled so participants can choose to which groups to reveal or hide their identities, he added.
The Governance Exchange will have two platforms: a community site, whose postings will be available to all participants and group sites specifically for directors, corporate executives and institutional investors, whose postings will be accessible only to members of the group.
Participants can sign up as a member of only one group, Mr. Deane said.
Mr. Deane declined to discuss cost, but noted access will be available only to corporate executives and institutional investors whose firms are clients of RiskMetrics. Corporate directors, however, dont have to have any RiskMetrics client relationship to sign up for Governance Exchange, Mr. Deane added.
Governance Exchange plans to provide a variety of related content, including webcasts, white papers and surveys, to participants.
