Ronald Albahary joined Schroder Investment Management in New York as leader of the firm’s strategic investment initiatives in North America, said Jamie Dorrien-Smith, CEO of Schroders Americas. The position is new. Multiasset-class strategies offering steady returns and downside protection are “very much a growing area within the firm,” with more than $42 billion of European and Asian client money today, said Mr. Dorrien-Smith. Mr. Albahary will “accelerate the growth of relationships for this type of service with institutional investors and intermediaries in the U.S. marketplace,” he said.
Mr. Albahary had been managing director, global private client portfolio management, with SEI; SEI spokeswoman Dana Grosser wasn’t immediately available for comment.
