Steven C. Case, managing director at investment consultant Evaluation Associates, left the company to pursue other interests; he will be replaced by a trio of top executives who will manage the firm, said Bryan R. Decker, chief investment strategist. Mr. Cases departure came just over a year after he left Rogerscasey to take the helm at Evaluation Associates. Mr. Decker said he had no information on Mr. Cases plans. Mr. Case wasnt immediately available for comment.
Under a reorganization announced by the Norwalk, Conn.-based consultant today, Mr. Decker will also become managing director; David Hyman, a senior consultant with the firm, also will be director of consulting services; and Steve Formanek, director of operations, will add the title of director of compliance. The consulting services and compliance titles are new. All three executives will draw on our experience to set the direction for the firm, Mr. Decker said.
Among the initiatives planned at Evaluation Associates, Mr. Decker said, are offering clients the option of having the firm take discretionary control in overseeing their portfolios, doing more asset-liability work in areas such as LDI, and boosting the firms profile in the 401(k) market. He added that Evaluation Associates could hire additional staff soon.
