American Century hires institutional SVP

Joseph P. Craven joined American Century Investments as senior vice president of its institutional business, said spokeswoman Laura Kouri. He took over for Brian Jeter, chief sales and distribution officer, who was performing the duties temporarily following the departure of John Lopez in September, Ms. Kouri said. Previously, Mr. Craven was a principal with private equity firm Aquiline Investments. Executives at Aquiline weren’t immediately available for comment.
