Teachers Retirement system of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, committed $50 million to the Walton Street Real Estate Fund VI, said CIO Bob Leggett. Hamilton Lane Advisors, the $16 billion funds private equity consultant, assisted.
The board heard a presentation at its meeting Feb. 7 on capital markets from Jerry Woodham, public retirement plans practice director at Hammond, in preparation for an asset allocation study that could be conducted this year, Mr. Leggett said.
The system also announced a search for a domestic small-cap value equity manager, Mr. Leggett said. The board hopes to make a selection by late June, he said.
