Michael Sandler, co-founder of Focused Investors, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based investment management firm, died Feb. 2, said Bruce Veaco, co-founder of Focused. Mr. Sandler, 53, had pancreatic cancer. Before founding Focused, Mr. Sandler was a principal, vice president and portfolio manager at Pacific Financial Research, where he worked from 1984 until December 2005.
The family requested donations in his memory be made to a charity of one’s choice.
