Davina Curling was named managing director and head of European equities at Russell Investments, spokeswoman Sarah Culpeper confirmed. The position is new. Ms. Curling will be responsible for about €12 billion ($17 billion) in European equity assets under management. She will report to Steve Wiltshire, Russells CIO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ms. Curling was head of continental European high-alpha products at F&C Asset Management, F&C spokesman Jason Hollands said. She was not replaced at F&C; her portfolio management responsibilities were assumed by Peter Jarvis, director of European equities, Mr. Hollands added.
