The battle for investment talent may be riding on a London taxicab.
Thats the idea behind a recruitment advertising campaign launched by Watson Wyatt Worldwide, Reigate, England. The campaign is on a scale not undertaken by the firm before, according to a company announcement earlier this month.
The global consultancy placed ads on billboards, trade publications and even taxicabs in the U.K. to help attract employees in areas such as actuarial science, investment consulting and employee benefits.
Its very competitive out there, said Paul Deane-Williams, spokesman for Watson Wyatt. Wed say the competition for talent has increased in the investment industry, but I think we have managed to attract quite a number of good people.
The campaign, which was initiated by Watson Wyatts benefits group, will be handled both internally and externally by the Bradley Dyer Group, also based in Reigate.
Bruce Wraight, European head of public relations for Watson Wyatt, declined to disclose the cost of the campaign.Thao Hua
