PowerShares Capital Management on Friday will launch three new ETFs — the FTSE RAFI International Real Estate ex-U.S. Portfolio, the DWA Developed Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio and the DWA Emerging Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio. All three will trade on NYSE Arca.
The international real estate ETF is based on the FTSE RAFI underlying index and will track the performance of real estate companies with the largest fundamental value. PowerShares teamed with registered investment adviser Dorsey, Wright & Associates to launch the DWA Technical Leaders portfolios. The funds invest in companies with strong relative strength, a quantitative measure of the stock’s performance in relation to the rest of the market, confirmed Thomas Dorsey, president of DWA.
