Watertown (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is looking to shift $13 million in international equities to core from value, said Rafik Ghazarian, senior consultant for Segal Advisors, the $100 million plans consultant. A search is under way for a core manager; funding would come from terminating a value fund run by The Boston Co. because of performance and the move to core, Mr. Ghazarian said. Boston Co. has been on the plans watchlist. A manager should be selected in the first quarter of 2008. Barbara A. Sheehan, the plan's administrator, referred all questions to Mr. Ghazarian.
Mike Dunn, spokesman for Boston Co., said the firm doesnt comment on clients because of confidentiality agreements.
