The President’s Working Group on Financial Markets formed two committees to determine best-practices guidelines for hedge funds and other private pools of capital, according to a news release issued by the Department of Treasury today. Russell Read, CIO of the $246.6 billion California Public Employees’ Retirement System, Sacramento, was named chairman of the committee representing investors, and Eric Mindich, CEO of multistrategy hedge fund Eton Park Capital Management, will chair the committee representing asset managers.
