Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, retained BGI as manager of a combined $10.7 billion in Russell 2000, Russell 3000, S&P 500 and Wilshire 5000 index strategies, said board spokeswoman Liz Mendizabal. The RFP was issued in June.
Separately, the board is committing up to $750 million to the Warburg Pincus Private Equity Fund X, up to $700 million to the KKR European Fund III and up to $25 million to the Advent Latin American Private Equity Fund IV, Ms. Mendizabal said. The board at its meeting Sept. 20 also added $50 million to Avenue Special Situations Fund V, for a total commitment of $200 million.
The fund has $81 billion in assets, of which $60.8 billion is in retirement assets.
