Hallmark Cards Inc., Kansas City, Mo., hired American Century to manage $25 million in a concentrated domestic large-cap growth equity strategy for Hallmarks $730 million cash balance plan, said Matt Oldroyd, a senior relationship manager with American Century. The money had been parked in an index fund, in line with Hallmarks decision to reallocate plan assets to large-cap growth, Mr. Oldroyd said. He declined to say how the money had been managed before it was parked in the index fund. Jeff McMillen, investment director with Hallmark, wasnt immediately available for comment.
