Woburn looking for small-cap firm

Woburn (Mass.) Retirement System is looking for a manager to run a $5 million domestic small-cap growth equity portfolio, according to consultant Wainwright Investment Counsel’s website. The strategy can either be active or passive, and indexed to the Russell 2000 Growth index or a comparable benchmark. The office of board administrator Maureen Marcucci referred all questions to Gus Aristizabal, a consultant with Wainwright, the $109 million fund’s consultant. Mr. Aristizabal did not return a call seeking comment by press time.
