Conflict Securities Advisory Group, a research firm that helps investors develop terror-free investment portfolios, was acquired by environmental, social and governance consultant IdealsWork for a combination of stock and cash, according to an IdealsWork statement. Terms of the transaction were not announced. CSAG will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of IdealsWork.
The deal was an outgrowth of a joint venture, announced in June, between CSAG and IdealsWorks operating company, IW Financial, making it possible for the two companies to work together to offer research, analytical and consulting services for meeting divestment and engagement requirements, the statement said.
Today, global investors are focusing on public firms with operations in state sponsors of terrorism. Sam Pierce, CEO of IW Financial, said in the statement. In the future, there will undoubtedly be other global security risk factors that come to the fore. By combining with CSAG, we are well positioned to help our clients address these concerns as they arise.
