Essex Regional Retirement System, Danvers, Mass., is considering adding a $60 million active domestic large-cap core equity portfolio and an $8 million private equity fund of funds. The fund is searching for managers as part of its third-quarter rebalancing process, said Timothy Bassett, chairman and executive director of the $238 million fund. We want to look at whats out there; see if there are new strategies, Mr. Bassett said. The system does not currently have a private equity fund-of-funds manager. Segal Advisors is assisting.
