Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, Toronto, named Jim Leech as its next president and CEO, replacing Claude Lamoureux, who will retire at the end of the year, said Deborah Allan, spokeswoman. Mr. Lamoureux helped boost the C$106 billion (US$100.7 billion) fund from C$19 billion when he joined in 1990. Mr. Leech is now senior vice president of the plans private capital investment arm, handling investments of C$16 billion in private equity, venture capital, infrastructure and timber. Hell step into his new role Dec. 1. He joined the fund in 2001. Ms. Allan said Mr. Leechs successor will be announced this fall.
