Kentucky Retirement Systems, Frankfort, is considering switching its $3.15 billion international equity portfolio to the MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. index from its current MSCI EAFE benchmark. Adam Tosh, CIO of the $16.9 billion system, said system officials are seeking information from equity managers that run emerging markets and core MSCI ACWI ex-U.S. portfolios because they want to add an emerging markets allocation of about 2% to 3% of total assets. Theyre also seeking information from EAFE managers because some of the international equities could remain indexed against EAFE, Mr. Tosh said. Funding will come from rebalancing.
