With the Securities and Exchange Commission’s long-awaited Regulation NMS being phased in this year, and a similarly dramatic regime, the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), going into effect in Europe in the fall, trading technology has never been more important in the securities business. Exchanges, brokers and asset managers of all stripes have embraced automated trading systems, resulting in innovative new alliances, mergers and product launches across Wall Street.
Against this backdrop, Pensions & Investments is proud to present its inaugural Liquidity Forum, a unique examination of the crossing networks, dark pools of liquidity and algorithms that are changing the face of trading. Our one-day seminar will feature leading traders, investors, brokers, exchange officials and technology providers in a unique, comprehensive discussion of how the new trading environment is affecting buy-side firms and their clients. Drawing upon Pensions & Investments’ audience of plan sponsors, this event will bring together some of the world’s largest traditional and alternative asset managers to set the agenda for the next generation of trading.

27 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036
Pensions & Investments is seeking fund managers and allocators to speak at its inaugural Liquidity Forum, November 1 at The Harvard Club in New York.
We are particularly interested in managers involved in equities, commodities and foreign exchange, with an emphasis on traders who are pushing the envelope in technology and accessing liquidity. On the allocator side, we would like to hear from institutional investors who are experienced in active trading-focused strategies.
