Delaware has hired 19 fixed-income investment professionals over the past few months to add to its existing team, which manages $100 billion in assets. The firm is still in talks with Logan Circle Partners, a money management firm launched recently by former Delaware CEO Jude Driscoll, about a possible transaction involving certain members of the taxable fixed-income team and related institutional business, according to a May 23 announcement. Delaware spokeswoman Laurel OBrien said the 19 people hired in recent months shouldnt be seen as replacements for a potential exodus of managers to Logan Circle.
Reached by telephone, Mr. Driscoll would only confirm continuing friendly conversations between Logan Circle and Delaware.
