Waltham (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an active domestic large-cap core equity manager to run up to $24 million, confirmed Joseph Juppe, board administrator. Funding will likely come from two active domestic large-cap portfolios of $12 million each run by SSgA, one value and one growth. Plan officials hope to save money by focusing on one core strategy, Mr. Juppe said. SSgA will be asked to rebid. Kevin Leonard, the $156 million pension plans consultant with Segal Advisors, was not available at press time. Consultant Segal Advisors is assisting.
