Clearwater (Fla.) Employees Pension Fund hired Aletheia Research and Management to run $20 million in active domestic large-cap value equities, confirmed Steve Moskun, cash and investments manager. Funding will come from rebalancing the $583 million funds assets. It is a new allocation. An RFP was issued in December with consultant Dahab Associates assisting.
The fund also will consider adding REITs and emerging markets equities as new asset classes this summer. Funding would likely come from a general rebalancing. The amounts to be invested have not been determined.
