State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison, hired Courtland Partners as a consultant to help the $93 billion fund search for up to two global REIT managers to run at least $200 million. Courtlands hiring is pending contract completion, said Vicki Hearing, public information officer. The system will seek managers that can manage at least $200 million. SWIB already has $143 million in REITs, all domestic. The search is part of an effort to raise the systems total real estate allocation, now at 4.1%, to its 5% target, said Ms. Hearing. System officials hope to complete the search sometime in August, she said.
