Norfolk County Retirement System, Canton, Mass., plans to invest up to $46 million in a 130/30 strategy benchmarked to the Russell 3000 and is also looking for a manager to run $20 million in active international fixed income, confirmed Gus Aristizabal, consultant with Wainwright Investment Counsel, which is assisting. Funding for the 130/30 strategy, the systems first, will come from a redistribution of the plans 38% domestic equity allocation. The plan added the portfolio for diversification. The bond portfolio is being run by Wellington Management; Mr. Aristizabal declined to comment further. Patrick LePage, chief administrator for the $580 million plan, was not available for comment at press time.
