Illinois State Universities Retirement System, Champaign, named Mellon Bank and incumbent Northern Trust Bank as finalists in its search for a global custodian, said Dan M. Slack, executive director. The $15.5 billion fund named Credit Suisse and Dresdner Bank as finalists in a search for securities lending services.
The fund issued an RFP in November seeking bids for custody with or without securities lending and stand-alone securities lending. The board could make a decision on hiring for both services at its June 8 meeting, he said.
