Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Retirement Board, Boston, is searching for a manager to run $5 million in a private equity fund of funds or secondaries fund and another manager for a $3 million venture capital investment. Texas A&M University System, College Station, issued an RFP for a master trust and custody services provider for its $2.4 billion in commingled university investment funds. The contract is for six years beginning July 1, according to the RFP. The system could award two contracts, one for master trust and custody services and another for securities lending. Danvers (Mass.) Retirement Board is searching for two equity managers, one to run $10 million in active domestic large-cap value and one to run $5.5 million in a Russell 1000 Growth index fund, confirmed Susan Little, retirement assistant for the $83 million pension plan. The allocations are being added for diversification. Funding will come from terminating Congress Asset Management, which ran $25.5 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities. Ms. Little declined to provide the reason for the termination. Plan officials will commit the remaining $10 million to the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Trust, a pooled investment fund run by Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston. North Attleborough (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System issued an RFP for a manager to run $5 million to $10 million in active domestic fixed income, confirmed Debra Bush, board administrator. Officials of the $60 million plan will consider core-plus, convertible, high yield and global strategies. They have not determined a source of funding. The plan has about $12 million in a core fixed-income portfolio run by RhumbLine Advisers and $9 million in a core-plus portfolio managed by Voyager Capital. Northumberland County Council Pension Fund, Morpeth, England, issued an RFI for one or two managers to run a total of £95 million ($186.5 million) in active global equities, according to Kevin Gregson, pension manager. The £640 million fund is seeking to replace Capital International, which had been managing the portfolio since 2003. Performance was a key factor, Mr. Gregson said. Capital spokesman Chuck Freadhoff declined to comment, adding it is the companys policy not to comment on any one clients decision.
