Indiana Public Employees' Retirement Fund, Indianapolis, committed a total of $108.5 million to four private equity funds, according to a statement from the $16.3 billion fund. It committed $50 million to Lehman Brothers Fund XVIII, which invests in other funds that provide venture capital for startup companies as well as established firms; $30 million to OCM Opportunities Fund VII, which focuses on acquiring businesses to improve performance; $20 million to Technology Partners Fund VIII, which provides venture capital to life sciences companies and clean-tech companies; and $8.5 million to Horsley Bridge Growth VIII, which invests in mature businesses with strong growth potential.
