Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, is looking for a senior public equity investment officer. The board, which oversees $73 billion, including $55.7 billion in defined benefit assets, issued an RFP to hire a recruitment firm to provide assistance in selecting the executive as well as other investment professionals, according to an RFP posted on its website. Proposals are due March 28. The RFP is available at www.sib.wa.gov/opportunities/docs/rfp0704.doc. The WSIB expects to select a firm early April and the contract will start on April 18, according to the RFP. Liz Mendizabal, a spokeswoman, did not return calls for comment, by press time.
