Citigroup Alts selects sales chief

Philip Anker was named managing director and global head of institutional sales and marketing for Citigroup Alternative Investments, confirmed spokesman Jon Diat. Mr. Anker will be based in London and oversee global sales and marketing activity. He reports to COO Michael Froman. Mr. Anker was head of European institutional sales for CAI and replaced Neil Brown, now managing director of new markets. Owen Thiers and Francois Bornens, both former directors of European institutional sales, were promoted to co-heads of European institutional sales to replace Mr. Anker. They will report to him. Messrs. Thiers and Bornens won’t be replaced in their former positions.
