Michael Nobrega was named CEO of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System, Toronto, confirmed Debbie Oakley, spokeswoman for the C$48 billion (US$40.5 billion) fund. He replaces Paul Haggis, who announced his resignation Feb. 1. Ms. Oakley said she was not aware of Mr. Haggis' career plans. Mr. Nobrega, who takes over March 12, was president and CEO of Borealis Infrastructure, an infrastructure investment firm created by OMERS in 2004. Michael Rolland, senior vice president at Borealis, was promoted to CEO, Ms. Oakley said.
