Metropolitan Board of Education Teacher Retirement Plan, Nashville, Tenn., hired Champlain Investment Partners to manage $7 million to $8 million in active domestic small-cap equities for the $86 million fund, confirmed Fadi BouSamra, assistant CIO. Partial funding will come from Private Capital Management, which manages a $14 million active domestic all-cap equity portfolio that has focused on large-cap; the amount to be taken has not been determined. The remainder will come from rebalancing.
