Sean R. Wallace was named senior managing director responsible for Asia Pacific at Darby Overseas Investments, the private equity arm of
Franklin Templeton Investments, confirmed spokesman Nigel Adam. It is a new position. Mr. Wallace, who will start in April, will be based in Hong Kong and report to CEO Richard Frank, who is based in Washington. Mr. Wallace was head of capital markets for Asia Pacific at JPMorgan Investment Bank. Brian Marchiony, spokesman at JPMorgan, couldn't immediately comment on plans for a replacement.
