City of Phoenix (Ariz.) Employees Retirement System named Credit Suisse, PanAgora Asset Management and State Street Global Advisors as finalists in its search for a manager to run a $150 million real return strategy and AXA Rosenberg Investment Management and Batterymarch Financial Management as finalists in its search for a firm to run $83 million in international small-cap equities, as first reported late Friday on Pensions & Investments' website, www.pionline.com. The $2 billion fund issued RFPs last fall with consultant R.V. Kuhns assisting. Donna Buelow, retirement program administrator for the system, was not available to provide further details.
Separately, fund officials are increasing the allocation of midcap value equity manager Boston Co. by $20 million to $130 million.
