The Louisiana Assessors Retirement System, Baton Rouge, will begin an asset allocation study next week, confirmed Michael Wooden, trustee. The $161 million pension plan recently hit its 65% equity limit because of good market performance, he said, so plan officials likely will shift some of the equity to fixed income. No consultant is assisting.
State Street Global Advisors manages all equities for the system. Fixed-income managers are Wellington, which runs about $30 million; Orleans Capital Management, $13.2 million; and SSgA, $6.5 million, Mr. Wooden said. Americus also runs $4.4 million in real estate, he said.
