The Gwynedd Council Pension Fund, Caenarfon, Wales, will look for at least one manager to run £35 million ($66 million) in private equity, according to Nia Jones, pensions and investments officer. The £740 million pension plan will decrease its global equity exposure to fund the mandate, though it has not been decided which of three equity portfolios will be reduced: active global portfolios handled by UBS Global Asset Management, which runs £169 million, and Capital International, which manages £226 million; or a £158 million in passive global equities run by Barclays Global Investors.
